Towards the end of 2019, I imagined a script for a kind of ‘apocalyptic science fiction’ story to orientate one of my live performances: Rio de Janeiro, the city where I live, would be completely flooded on February 2, 2020. This desire for destruction was fueled by my perception of the political situation in Brazil and my lack of perspective of better days. I couldn’t, at that moment, imagine that everything would get even worse.
‘02022020’ is a sonic instantiation of this script. It is also a call to a future.
